Sprint 36 Release Notes 08-08-2019

This document describes enhancements and corrections for School LINQ.

Payroll

Administration

Tax Tables

  • NEW! The State tab now includes State Selector buttons and a Default Taxing State drop-down list. Tax Table will display for the selected state.
    • Default Taxing State will be the state that all employees are automatically set to, and taxed, based on that states tax table when Calculating PR.

    • Employee Taxing State can be changed at the employee level.

      • States available for selection on the employee level will be limited to only states that the Unit has taxing tables set up for.

    • Selecting a state from the State Selector will display that state’s tax tables, and allows users to indicate the State ID Number, Vendor to be paid and the State Withholding Payable Account.

      • This information must be set per state that will be used within Payroll.

Manage Employees

Tax / Compensation Tab

  • NEW! The Taxing State field is now editable to allow employees working from another state to use their home state’s tax information.
    • Earnings Adjustments writes the current employee's taxing state value to the selected Taxing State.
    • Deduction Adjustments writes the current employee's taxing state value to the selected Taxing State.

Manage Timesheets

Manage Timesheets

  • Hours and Absences entered on in Input will now display on the timesheet.
    • These entries are not editable and must be edited in Input: Hours / Absences.
    • The Type of entry will be displayed on the Timesheet with one of the following entries:
      • Hours Input—Hours entered in Input: Hours while not in Lump Sum Entry Mode.
      • LS Hours Entry—Hours entered in Input: Hours while in Lump Sum Entry Mode.
      • Absence Input—Absences entered in Input: Absence.

Reports

  • The Ad Hoc Reports now include a column for Taxing State.
  • NEW! An Attendance Report has been added.

  •  
    • Filters include Date Range, Site, and Job.

    • Report Type options include:

      • Attendance Report—displays any employee that has a Clock In record that meets the selected criteria.

      • Not Clocked In Report—displays any employees with a Clock In and a Clock In /Out jobs that have not clocked in according to the selected criteria.

    • Additional Options include:

      • Clock In Only: Displays only employees with clock in only jobs that meet the selected criteria.

      • Clock In and Out: Displays only employees with clock in and out jobs that meet the selected criteria.

    • Sort By options include:

      • Last Name, First Name, Date

      • Date, Last Name, First Name

      • Site, Date, Last Name, First Name

Processing

Calculate Payroll

  • Calculate Payroll now uses the Taxing State to determine State tax rates.

Print Checks / Create ACH

  • Employee’s Taxing State will print on their check stub.

Modify Payment

Void Payments

  • Users can no longer void payments that have a void date within a closed month.

Fund Management

Setup

  • NEW! An Optional Balanced Entry Account # field has been added. Max length for data entry is 17 alpha-numeric characters.
    • If entered, an additional ‘6’ record will be included on your ACH file that provides a total of all payments being processed within the given ACH run.

Cash Management

Void Payments

  • Users can no longer void payments that have a void date in a closed month.

Timesheets

  • Records will now display missing Clock Out entries so employees can provide the correct time to the administrator.

  • Records will now display employee absences.
